Isolating mouse mesenchymal progenitor cells from heterogeneous tissue samples is straightforward with this EasySep immunomagnetic enrichment kit from STEMCELL Technologies. The kit uses a negative selection strategy: unwanted lineages are labeled with a cocktail of biotinylated monoclonal antibodies, then captured by dextran-coated magnetic particles. After a brief room temperature incubation, samples are placed in an EasySep magnet and the unlabeled progenitor fraction is collected by pouring into a fresh tube.

Cells retain viability and surface marker expression following separation, making them immediately compatible with cell culture, flow cytometry, and downstream molecular assays.
