EasySep Ms Biotin Positive Slctn Kit II

The kit from STEMCELL Technologies enables researchers to isolate highly purified cells labeled with biotinylated antibodies from mouse splenocytes, bone marrow, or other single-cell suspensions by immunomagnetic positive selection. The column-free workflow uses an EasySep™ magnet, where antibody- and magnetic particle-labeled desired cells remain in the tube while unwanted cells are simply poured off. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, cell culture, or cell-based assays. According to the manufacturer, the kit is designed for processing 1 x 10^9 cells. In a representative example using a biotinylated anti-mouse CD4 antibody, starting mouse splenocytes at 20.5% purity were enriched to 97.5%, as assessed with PE-conjugated streptavidin.

Components include EasySep™ Biotin Selection Cocktail (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS), EasySep™ Mouse FcR Blocker (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS with 0.1% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide), EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™ (a suspension of magnetic particles in water), and a RoboSep™ Vial for the primary conjugated antibody. The kit targets cells labeled with biotinylated antibodies (not provided) for positive selection. Components should be stored at 2 - 8°C and not frozen.
