EasySep Mouse SCA1 Positive Slctn Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, the EasySep Mouse SCA1 Positive Selection Kit uses immunomagnetic positive selection to isolate highly purified SCA1+ cells from single-cell suspensions of mouse bone marrow and other tissues. The kit targets the SCA1 surface marker with antibodies and magnetic particles, allowing desired cells to be separated without columns using an EasySep magnet. Unwanted cells are simply poured off while desired cells remain in the tube. Starting with mouse bone marrow, the SCA1+ cell content of the isolated fraction typically ranges from 87–97%, with up to 97% purity achievable. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

The kit includes an EasySep Mouse SCA1 PE Labeling Reagent, an EasySep PE Positive Selection Cocktail, and EasySep Magnetic Nanoparticles for Positive Selection. Components should be stored at 2–8 °C and not frozen, with the PE Positive Selection Cocktail additionally protected from light. Both manual EasySep protocols and fully automated RoboSep protocols are supported.

According to the product documentation, most hematopoietic stem cells from BALB/c and BALB/c-derived mouse strains do not express SCA1, so alternative markers should be used to select hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells from these mice.
