EasySep Mouse F4/80 Pos Sel Kit-Sam

Designed by STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic positive selection kit enriches F4/80-expressing murine macrophages from single-cell suspensions of spleen, bone marrow, peritoneal lavage, lymph node, or dissociated tumor tissue. The isolation leverages a bispecific tetrameric antibody complex that recognizes the 125 kDa F4/80 surface antigen (also called EMR1) along with dextran-coated magnetic nanoparticles, so target cells are pulled to the side of the tube when placed in the EasySep magnet. The column-free workflow keeps handling minimal: add cocktail to cells, incubate, add RapidSpheres, magnet-separate, then decant. The whole process is typically finished in roughly 15 minutes at room temperature, and the resulting macrophages remain viable, unlabeled, and functionally intact.

The sample size configuration is intended for smaller murine preparations, generally on the order of 1 x 10^8 cells per separation, making it well suited to pilot experiments, ex vivo phenotyping, or adoptive transfer studies. Isolated cells retain surface epitopes and can be taken directly into cell culture, flow cytometry, RNA extraction, downstream functional assays such as phagocytosis or cytokine release, or used as starting material for sequencing and Western blot workups. The kit is intended for research use only and ships refrigerated; store refrigerated between uses to preserve the antibody cocktail and magnetic particles. A separate EasySep magnet is required and is sold separately.
