EasySep Mouse CD8a Positive Slctn Kit II

This immunomagnetic positive selection kit from STEMCELL Technologies enables isolation of highly purified mouse CD8a+ cells from single-cell suspensions of splenocytes or other tissues. The kit targets CD8a+ cells using an antibody recognizing the CD8a surface marker. Desired cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet — unwanted cells are poured off while desired cells remain in the tube.

Designed for speed and ease of use, the workflow requires no columns and yields isolated cells that are not fluorochrome-labeled, so they are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. The kit is rated for processing 2 x 10^9 cells and can deliver up to 98% purity; in a typical isolation from mouse splenocytes using the purple EasySep™ magnet, the CD8a+ content of the isolated fraction is 96.3 ± 1.4% (mean ± SD).

Components include a Selection Cocktail formed by combining equal volumes of Component A and Component B (both monoclonal antibody preparations in PBS with 0.1% BSA), EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™ magnetic particles, and EasySep™ Mouse FcR Blocker. All reagents should be stored at 2 - 8°C and not frozen; the combined Selection Cocktail remains stable for up to 4 weeks. The kit supports both manual EasySep™ protocols and the fully automated RoboSep™ system.
