EasySep Mouse CD11b Pos Slctn Kit II

The kit from STEMCELL Technologies enables positive selection of highly purified CD11b+ cells from mouse tissues using a fast, easy-to-use, column-free workflow. Isolated cells are not fluorochrome-labeled and are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, cell culture, and cell-based experiments. The kit supports processing of up to 2 x 10^9 cells and is intended for isolating CD11b+ cells from lung, spleen, bone marrow, or brain tissues, each with its own applicable protocol.

Purity reaches up to 96% from lung tissue and up to 95% from splenocytes. Target cells are labeled with antibodies recognizing the CD11b surface marker and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep magnet. Unwanted cells are simply poured off while the desired cells remain in the tube. Both manual EasySep protocols and a fully automated RoboSep protocol are described in the product documentation.

The kit includes a two-component Selection Cocktail of monoclonal antibodies in PBS with 0.1% BSA, EasySep Dextran RapidSpheres as a suspension of magnetic particles in water, and Mouse FcR PolyBlock, which is a combination of polyclonal antibodies and maltose in water with 5 µg/mL Triton X-100. All components should be stored at 2 - 8°C and not frozen, although they may be shipped at room temperature (15 - 25°C). Once combined, the Selection Cocktail remains stable for up to 4 weeks at 2 - 8°C.
