EasySep Mouse B Cell Isolation Kit

From STEMCELL Technologies, the EasySep™ Mouse B Cell Isolation Kit enables isolation of untouched and highly purified B cells from mouse splenocytes by immunomagnetic negative selection. Unwanted non-B cells are labeled with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin-coated magnetic particles, then separated without the use of columns by means of an EasySep™ magnet, so the desired cells can simply be poured off into a new tube. The isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, and cell-based experiments.

The workflow is fast and easy to use, with cell isolation achievable in as little as 15 minutes. Starting with mouse splenocytes, the B cell content (CD19+CD3-) of the isolated fraction is 97.6 ± 1.7% (mean ± SD) using the purple EasySep™ Magnet, and the CD19+ content of the isolated fraction typically ranges from 94 - 98%, with up to 98% purity achievable. The kit is designed for processing 1 x 10^9 cells and is compatible with several EasySep™ magnets, including the EasySep™ Magnet, "The Big Easy," EasyPlate™, EasyEights™, and RoboSep™ instruments.

Included components are an EasySep™ Mouse B Cell Isolation Cocktail (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS and 0.1% BSA, including an Fc receptor blocking antibody), EasySep™ Streptavidin RapidSpheres™ (a suspension of magnetic particles in PBS), and Normal Rat Serum. For purity assessment by flow cytometry, a fluorochrome-conjugated anti-mouse CD19 antibody is recommended. The kit is supported by a compatible cell separation buffer for use with EasySep™ kits.
