EasySep Human CD56 Pos Sel Kit II

STEMCELL Technologies offers this kit for the immunomagnetic positive selection of highly purified human CD56+ cells from fresh or previously frozen peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and from skeletal muscle (myoblast and fibroblast) culture samples. The column-free workflow uses an EasySep™ magnet, with unwanted cells poured off while desired cells remain in the tube. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

The kit includes the EasySep™ Human CD56 Positive Selection Cocktail II, a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS with 0.09% recombinant human albumin that includes an Fc receptor blocking antibody, and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™ 50100, a suspension of magnetic particles in water. Both components should be stored at 2 - 8°C and not frozen.

For PBMC samples, isolation can be completed in as little as 18 minutes with up to 98% purity. Starting from human PBMCs using the purple EasySep™ Magnet, the CD56+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 96.3 ± 2.4% (mean ± SD). For muscle cultures, isolation can be completed in as little as 24 minutes with up to 95% purity, and starting with muscle cultures at 5 - 10 days after derivation, the CD56+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 95 ± 4.3% (mean ± SD) using the purple EasySep™ Magnet.
