EasySep Human CD34 Pos Selection Kit II

The STEMCELL Technologies EasySep™ Human CD34 Positive Selection Kit II enables isolation of highly purified CD34+ cells from fresh or previously frozen mobilized human peripheral blood or bone marrow mononuclear cells (MNCs), previously frozen cord blood MNCs, or human embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell cultures by immunomagnetic positive selection. The kit is intended for processing 5 x 10^9 cells and achieves up to 99% purity without the use of columns.

CD34+ cells are targeted using an antibody that recognizes the CD34 surface marker. Cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet. Unwanted cells are simply poured off, while the desired cells remain in the tube, and isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

The kit comprises the EasySep™ Human CD34 Positive Selection Cocktail, a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS that includes an Fc receptor blocking antibody, and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™, a suspension of magnetic particles in water. Both components should be stored at 2 - 8°C, must not be frozen, and remain stable until the expiry date indicated on the label. Components may be shipped at room temperature (15 - 25°C). Protocols are available for use with manual EasySep™ magnets (including the "Big Easy" magnet) and with the fully automated RoboSep™ instrument. For samples with high CD34+ content (> 5%), STEMCELL Technologies recommends contacting technical support for protocols to further isolate CD34+ cells from previously enriched material.
