EasySep Human CD14 Pos Sel Kit II

A column-free immunomagnetic positive selection kit from STEMCELL Technologies that isolates highly purified CD14+ cells from fresh or previously frozen human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) or washed leukapheresis samples in as little as 22 minutes. The kit targets CD14+ cells using antibodies recognizing the CD14 surface marker; desired cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, and separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet. Unwanted cells are simply poured off while desired cells remain in the tube, achieving up to 97% purity.

Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. The kit includes an EasySep™ Human CD14 Positive Selection Cocktail II, a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS with 0.09% recombinant human albumin (rHA), and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™, a suspension of magnetic particles in water. Both components are stored at 2 - 8 °C and should not be frozen. The selection cocktail uses the anti-CD14 antibody clone BA8.

Starting with a single-cell suspension of human PBMCs, the CD14+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 95.3 ± 4.5% (mean ± SD using the purple EasySep™ Magnet). The product is compatible with multiple EasySep™ magnet platforms, including EasySep™, "The Big Easy", EasyPlate™, EasyEights™, and Easy 50, as well as the fully automated RoboSep™ system. The kit is intended for research use only.
