EasySep Hum. Monocyte Enrch Kit w/o CD16

From STEMCELL Technologies, this immunomagnetic cell separation kit enables isolation of untouched, highly purified human CD14+CD16+ monocytes from fresh or previously frozen peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) or lysed leukapheresis samples. Using a negative selection approach, unwanted cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet, so desired cells are simply poured off into a new tube. The kit is fast, easy-to-use, and column-free, and is rated for processing 1 x 10^9 cells. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction. According to the manufacturer, the kit delivers up to 81% purity, with the CD14+ cell content of the enriched fraction typically ranging from 73 - 81% from freshly prepared PBMCs; a separate dataset reports 82.7 ± 6.7% (mean ± SD using the purple EasySep™ magnet), with start and final enriched fractions of 21.2% and 83.3% respectively in a representative example.
