EasySep Hu CD33 Pos Slctn Kit II

This immunomagnetic positive selection kit from STEMCELL Technologies enables isolation of highly purified human CD33+ myeloid cells, including CD14+ and CD66b+ cells, from whole blood or bone marrow. The column-free protocol labels target cells with antibodies and magnetic particles, which are then separated using an EasySep™ magnet; unwanted cells are poured off while desired cells remain in the tube. The kit is compatible across EasySep™, "The Big Easy", and RoboSep™-S platforms, with no columns required.

According to the manufacturer, purities of up to 98% can be achieved. When starting with ammonium chloride-lysed peripheral blood, the CD33+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 95.6 ± 1.6% (mean + SD using "The Big Easy" EasySep™ Magnet), with reported start and final isolated fraction purities of 44.7% and 96.3% respectively. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

The kit includes the EasySep™ Human CD33 Positive Selection Cocktail II (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS) and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™ 50101 (a suspension of magnetic particles in water), both stored at 2-8°C and not to be frozen. For purity assessment of isolated CD33+ cells by flow cytometry, the manufacturer recommends anti-Human CD66b antibody clone G10F5 and anti-Human CD14 antibody clones M5E2 or MoP9.
