EasySep Hu Basophil Iso Kit

This immunomagnetic negative selection kit from STEMCELL Technologies isolates untouched and highly purified basophils from HetaSep™-processed human peripheral blood. The column-free workflow targets non-basophils for removal using antibodies and magnetic particles, with desired basophils simply poured off into a new tube. Isolated cells are immediately available for downstream applications such as flow cytometry, culture, or DNA/RNA extraction.

Designed to be fast, easy-to-use, and column-free, the kit achieves up to 98% purity while leaving isolated cells untouched. Typical performance shows basophil content (CD45+CD123+IgE+) of 94.0 ± 2.5% (mean ± SD using the purple EasySep™ Magnet), with example start and final purities of 0.86% and 95.6%, respectively. The kit is designed to process 1 x 10^9 cells.

The kit includes the EasySep™ Human Basophil Isolation Cocktail (a combination of monoclonal antibodies in PBS) and EasySep™ Dextran RapidSpheres™ (a suspension of magnetic particles), both stored at 2-8°C and not to be frozen. Purity can be assessed by flow cytometry using anti-CD123 antibodies in combination with either anti-human IgE or anti-human CD203c antibodies.
