EasySep Dead Cell Removal AnnV Kit

STEMCELL Technologies offers an immunomagnetic negative selection kit designed to efficiently deplete apoptotic (Annexin V+) cells from cell culture or tissue preparation samples. The kit targets phosphatidylserine exposed on the outer leaflet of the cell membrane of apoptotic cells using Annexin V. Unwanted cells are labeled with Annexin V, antibodies, and magnetic particles, then separated without columns using an EasySep™ magnet, leaving untouched live cells ready for downstream applications or subsequent separations.

Fast and easy-to-use, the column-free procedure can yield enriched live cells in as little as 6 minutes and is compatible across EasySep™, "The Big Easy", and EasyEights™ platforms, as well as across tissue types and species. The kit is rated for processing 1 x 10^9 cells. Reported performance includes percentage of dead cells removed of 88.2 ± 8.2% from mouse lung single-cell suspensions, 92.7 ± 5.5% from human polymorphonuclear cells, and 75.2 ± 11.8% from mouse splenocytes. Typical live cell content (AnnexinV-/PI-) of the enriched fraction is 69.7 ± 12.5% from cultured human PMNCs and 79.8 ± 11.4% from 24- to 48-hour-old mouse splenocytes, using the purple EasySep™ Magnet.

Recommended medium is PBS containing 2% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and 1 mM CaCl2; CaCl2 is required for optimal product performance. The product is for research use only and is not intended for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses.
