EasySep Anti-Rat IgM Pos Slctn Kit

Designed for customizable positive cell selection, this STEMCELL Technologies kit enables researchers to isolate cells expressing surface antigens recognized by a user-supplied rat IgM monoclonal antibody. The system provides all components needed to prepare a selection cocktail that works in combination with an EasySep™ magnet or the fully automated RoboSep™ platform. Target cells are labeled with antibodies and magnetic particles, then separated without the use of columns—unwanted cells are simply poured off while desired cells remain in the tube.

According to the manufacturer, the kit can achieve up to 99% purity and is rated for processing 2 x 10^9 cells. Isolated cells are not fluorochrome-labeled, making them immediately suitable for downstream applications such as flow cytometry or cell culture. Kit components should be stored at 2 - 8°C and must not be frozen.

For spleen samples, the protocol recommends disruption in appropriate medium, filtration through a 70 µm nylon strainer, and resuspension at 1 x 10^8 nucleated cells/mL. Recommended media include EasySep™ Buffer, RoboSep™ Buffer, or PBS containing 2% fetal bovine serum and 1 mM EDTA, free of Ca++ and Mg++.
