Complete Kit for Human Whole Blood CD34

From STEMCELL Technologies, this cell isolation kit enables the isolation of CD34+ cells from human whole blood or buffy coat using a two-step immunomagnetic positive selection method. The workflow combines RosetteSep™ pre-enrichment with EasySep™ positive selection, in which an antibody cocktail cross-links unwanted mature cells to red blood cells for density gradient separation, followed by magnetic labeling and positive selection of CD34+ cells using the EasySep™ isolation cocktail and Dextran RapidSpheres™.

According to the manufacturer, when starting with whole peripheral blood, the CD34+ cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 95.1 ± 4.5% (gated on viable CD45+ cells; mean ± SD for the silver "The Big Easy" EasySep™ Magnet), with one example showing purities of 0.06% and 96.2% for the start and final isolated fractions, respectively. The kit is recommended for processing whole blood samples greater than 4.5 mL, and for optimal performance, fresh whole peripheral blood should be collected within the last 24 hours and stored at room temperature (15 - 25°C).
