BrainPhys Primary Neuron Kit

A defined, serum-free culture system for primary neurons, this kit from STEMCELL Technologies combines BrainPhys Neuronal Medium (500 mL bottle) with NeuroCult SM1 Neuronal Supplement (10 mL vial) and select stabilizing factors to enable mature neuronal function in vitro. BrainPhys Neuronal Medium is formulated to mimic the physiological ionic composition of cerebrospinal fluid, supporting synaptic activity, network connectivity, and long-term neuronal viability over multiple weeks in culture.

The kit supports common neuroscience workflows including patch-clamp electrophysiology, calcium imaging, immunocytochemistry, and neurodegenerative disease modeling with primary neurons isolated from rodent sources. Components are supplied frozen or refrigerated and should be stored according to the included product insert.
