Anti-SHIP (C-Term), Poly, UC, 100µL

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets the C-terminus of SHIP (SH2-containing inositol phosphatase), a 145 kDa hematopoietic-restricted protein. SHIP becomes tyrosine-phosphorylated and associates with the adaptor protein Shc following cytokine, growth factor, chemokine, and immunoreceptor stimulation. It hydrolyzes the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)-generated second messenger PI-3,4,5-P3 (PIP3) to PI-3,4-P2, acting as an important negative regulator of the PI3K pathway.

The unconjugated antibody reacts with full-length 145 kDa SHIP protein from human and mouse. The immunogen is a 22-amino acid peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human SHIP. Verified and reported applications include western blotting, with a suggested dilution of 1:1000 for western blot analysis.

The formulation is a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.4, containing 0.01% bovine serum albumin, 0.05% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The antibody is purified by affinity chromatography and is stable at -20°C when stored undiluted.
