Anti-SARS-CoV N Protein, 001, UC, 50µL

This unconjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone 001, specifically binds the nucleocapsid (N) protein of the original SARS coronavirus (SARS-CoV), a ~46 kDa structural protein that packages the viral RNA genome and is abundantly expressed in infected cells. Supplied as a 50 µL liquid-format vial, the reagent is intended for research use only and supports a broad set of immunoassay workflows.

The unconjugated format lets users pair it with their own secondary detection reagents — fluorophores, biotin, or enzymes such as HRP — depending on the platform. Reported applications include western blot of transfected or infected cell lysates, immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry of fixed monolayers, and ELISA or dot blot detection of recombinant N protein. Importantly, this clone shows no significant cross-reactivity with the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein, which makes it a discriminating reagent in studies that need to distinguish the original SARS-CoV from SARS-CoV-2.

For handling, store the vial refrigerated at 2-8°C; small aliquots are recommended to minimize freeze-thaw cycles that can degrade binding activity, with long-term storage at -20°C or below after aliquoting. Each lot is validated by western blot against recombinant SARS-CoV N protein to confirm specificity and consistent performance.
