Anti-Rt CD90, OX-7, FI, 500µg

This mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is conjugated to FITC and recognizes rat CD90 (Thy-1) as well as the mouse CD90.1 (Thy-1.1) allelic form, the latter expressed by mouse strains including AKR/J, PL, and FVB/N. The OX-7 clone does not react with CD90.2, which is carried by mouse strains such as CBA and BALB/c. Produced in BALB/c mice using rat thymocyte CD90 antigen as the immunogen, the antibody has been purified by affinity chromatography prior to conjugation, and the reagent is listed as reactive with mouse, rat, guinea pig, and rabbit.

CD90 is a GPI-linked membrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Its 25 kDa core protein is N-glycosylated at three sites, producing molecules with molecular masses ranging from 25 - 37 kDa. In the rat, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, and neurons, while in CD90.1-expressing mouse strains it appears on early-stage hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow, thymocytes, and circulating mature T cells. The OX-7 antibody has been reported to induce leukocyte activation, glomerular nephritis, apoptosis in glomerular mesangial cells, and vascular permeability. Flow cytometry data for this FITC conjugate have been generated on Sprague-Dawley rat brain cells and thymocytes.

Validated for flow cytometry, the antibody has also been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated from compatible mouse strains using EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse T Cell Isolation Kit. It is supplied in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and remains stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; the product should not be frozen and must be protected from prolonged exposure to light. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in a 100 μL volume, with titration recommended for optimal performance in each application.
