Anti-Rat CD90, OX-7, AD, 25µg

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody (clone OX-7) conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 488 and supplied by STEMCELL Technologies. It targets CD90 (Thy-1) and its allelic form CD90.1 (Thy-1.1), reacting with rat CD90 and with CD90.1 expressed by the AKR/J, PL, and FVB/N mouse strains. The clone does not recognize CD90.2, which is expressed by strains including CBA and BALB/c. Additional species reactivity includes guinea pig and rabbit.

CD90 is a GPI-linked membrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The 25 kDa core protein is N-glycosylated at three sites, yielding molecules that range from 25 to 37 kDa. In the rat, CD90 is expressed on hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, and neurons. In mouse strains carrying the CD90.1 allele, it is found on early-stage hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow, on thymocytes, and on circulating mature T cells. The antibody was raised against rat thymocyte CD90 (Thy-1) antigen, purified by affinity chromatography, and supplied at a concentration of 0.5 mg/mL in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide.

Flow cytometry is the verified application, with immunofluorescence microscopy and immunohistochemistry reported in published studies. For flow cytometry, the manufacturer suggests ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL volume, with titration recommended for optimal performance. The product should be stored undiluted at 2-8°C, protected from prolonged light exposure, and should not be frozen.
