Anti-Ms TER119, TER-119, PS, 100µg

This rat monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone TER-119, is conjugated to PerCP-Cy5.5 and targets mouse TER119 (Ly-76), an ~52 kDa protein associated with glycophorin A on cells of the erythroid lineage. The IgG2b, kappa antibody was raised against mouse (C57BL/6) fetal liver cells, purified by affinity chromatography, and is supplied as a clear liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.1% gelatin, with no unconjugated PerCP-Cy5.5 remaining in the solution.

TER119 is an erythroid-specific marker expressed at all stages of differentiation from early proerythroblasts to mature erythrocytes, but not by erythroid colony-forming cells (BFU-E or CFU-E). It is detected in embryonic yolk sac, fetal and newborn liver, adult bone marrow, peripheral blood, and lymphoid organs; in adult mice it is found on ~20 - 25% of bone marrow cells and ~2 - 3% of splenocytes. The TER-119 antibody is a component of the "lineage cocktail" used to detect or deplete cells committed to hematopoietic lineages.

Verified for flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL, with titration recommended for each application. The product is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. The manufacturer's safety data sheet states the mixture is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard or the GHS and is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, IATA, or IMDG.
