Anti-Ms TER119, TER-119, BT, 500µg

Biotin-conjugated rat monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, raised against the murine erythroid-lineage marker TER119 (Ly-76). The TER-119 clone recognizes an ~52 kDa protein associated with glycophorin A, expressed on cells of the erythroid lineage in embryonic yolk sac, fetal and newborn liver, adult bone marrow, peripheral blood, and lymphoid organs. TER119 is detected at all stages of erythroid differentiation from early proerythroblasts to mature erythrocytes, but not on erythroid colony-forming cells (BFU-E or CFU-E). The antibody is a standard component of the "lineage cocktail" used to identify or deplete cells committed to hematopoietic lineages; in adult mice TER119 marks approximately 20 - 25% of bone marrow cells and ~2 - 3% of splenocytes.

Clone TER-119 is of rat origin (IgG2b, kappa), generated against mouse (C57BL/6) fetal liver cells and purified by affinity chromatography prior to biotin conjugation. It is formulated in an aqueous buffer containing 0.09% sodium azide and supplied as a clear liquid. The product is verified for cell separation (CellSep) and flow cytometry (FC), with reported use in immunohistochemistry (IHC), and has been validated for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse CD4+ T Cell Isolation Kit. For flow cytometry, STEMCELL Technologies recommends ≤ 0.5 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL, in combination with fluorescently conjugated avidin or streptavidin; titration for each application is advised.

The antibody is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted and should not be frozen. According to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet, the biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under GHS and contains no components requiring disclosure under applicable regulations.
