According to the manufacturer's safety documentation, the reagent is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) or the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), and the product contains no substances which at their given concentration are considered to be hazardous to health. No special protective equipment is required for eye/face, skin, or respiratory protection under normal use conditions. Recommended storage is to keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place, in accordance with the manufacturer's Product Information Sheet.

Standard first-aid measures apply in the event of exposure: remove to fresh air if inhaled, rinse eyes thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician, wash skin with soap and water, and rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water if ingested. The reagent is stable under normal storage and transport conditions, and no hazardous reactions are expected under normal processing.
