Anti-Ms TCR Gamma/Delta, GL3, AD, 25µg

This laboratory reagent, manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, is a hamster-host monoclonal antibody intended for research use only. The GL3 clone recognizes the δ chain of the murine T cell receptor γ/δ (TCR gamma/delta), a heterodimer (~80 kDa in humans) of disulfide-linked γ and δ subunits that associates with CD3 on the cell surface and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. TCRγ/δ is involved in recognizing both peptide and lipid antigens.

GL3 binds an epitope in the constant region of the δ chain and can reportedly activate TCRγ/δ+ cells. This receptor is expressed on a subpopulation of T cells and may be found on up to 50% of T cells in epithelial cell-rich tissues. Most γ/δ T cells are CD4-/CD8-, though some express CD8. These cells have been described as a link between the adaptive and innate immune responses and, once activated, secrete effector cytokines in a subtype- and context-specific manner.

The Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated format is tested for flow cytometry applications, with demonstrated use on C57BL/6 mouse lymph node cells. The product is supplied as a clear liquid and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).
