Anti-Ms SSEA-1, MC-480, PE, 25tests

This PE-conjugated reagent from STEMCELL Technologies is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody, clone MC-480, directed against stage-specific embryonic antigen-1 (SSEA-1), also referred to as CD15. The antibody recognizes a terminal carbohydrate epitope carried on a large-molecular-mass (> 200 kDa) glycoprotein and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The product is supplied as a clear liquid in phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. The antibody has been conjugated with PE under optimal conditions, with the conjugate reported at > 85% purity and free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody. Flow cytometry (FC) is listed as a verified application, and the suggested use is 5 μL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL or per 100 μL of whole blood, with titration recommended for each application. The clone has been verified for labeling human ES and iPS cells cultured in TeSR-E8, mTeSR1, and TeSR2 media.

SSEA-1 is expressed on early mouse embryos, mouse embryonal carcinoma (EC) and embryonic stem (ES) cells, and on mouse and human embryonic germ (EG) cells; on adult human granulocytes and monocytes it is denoted CD15. The product is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8°C; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.
