Anti-Ms SSEA-1, MC-480, PE, 100tests

STEMCELL Technologies offers this PE-conjugated Anti-Mouse SSEA-1 (CD15) Antibody, Clone MC-480. The reagent is a mouse monoclonal IgM, kappa antibody that reacts with a terminal carbohydrate epitope of stage-specific embryonic antigen-1 (SSEA-1), also known as CD15, Lewis X, 3-FAL, SSEA1, or X-hapten. The MC-480 clone was raised against X-irradiated mouse F9 teratocarcinoma cells.

The antibody recognizes a glycoprotein of > 200 kDa expressed on early mouse embryos, mouse embryonal carcinoma (EC) cells, embryonic stem (ES) cells, and mouse and human embryonic germ (EG) cells. SSEA-1 expression on mouse ES cells decreases upon differentiation, whereas on human cells expression is upregulated during differentiation. The marker is not expressed on undifferentiated human EC, ES, or induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, or on rhesus monkey ES cell lines. The antibody also labels adult human granulocytes and monocytes, where the same antigen is denoted CD15, and the antigen has been reported to have roles in cell adhesion, migration, and the regulation of cell differentiation. The reagent shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples and is verified for flow cytometry (FC).

The product is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. The antibody is conjugated with PE to > 85% purity and is free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody. The product is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8°C, should be protected from prolonged exposure to light, and must not be frozen.
