Anti-Ms Sca1, E13-161.7, PE, 200µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers this rat monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody specific for mouse Sca1 (Stem Cell Antigen-1, also known as Ly-6A/E). The E13-161.7 clone was raised against mouse pre-T cells and reacts with an 18 kDa GPI-linked protein belonging to the lymphocyte activation protein-6 (Ly-6) family. The antibody is PE-conjugated and was purified by affinity chromatography, with the solution free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody.

According to the manufacturer, Sca1 is expressed on the surface of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, myeloid cells, and peripheral B and T lymphocytes, and has become a phenotypic marker of choice for identifying and isolating hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. The reagent is verified for use in cell separation and flow cytometry. The product sheet includes representative flow cytometry data generated with C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes and bone marrow cells.

The antibody is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide. The manufacturer states the product is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8°C, should not be frozen, and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. The accompanying safety data sheet classifies the preparation as a clear liquid that is not considered hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.
