Anti-Ms Sca1, E13-161.7, FI, 50µg

A FITC-conjugated rat monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone E13-161.7, targets mouse Sca1 (Stem Cell Antigen-1 or Ly-6A/E), an 18 kDa GPI-linked member of the Ly-6 lymphocyte activation protein family. The antibody is of IgG2a kappa isotype, was raised against mouse pre-T cells, and was purified by affinity chromatography prior to FITC conjugation.

Sca1 is expressed on hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, myeloid cells, and peripheral B and T lymphocytes, and has become a phenotypic marker of choice for identifying and isolating hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, with expression levels upregulated upon cellular activation. Clone E13-161.7 is verified for flow cytometry (FC, FACS) and is supplied as a liquid in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide. The suggested use amount is ≤ 1 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL, with titration advised for each application.

For laboratory research use, the reagent is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. The manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet states that it is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard or the GHS, and it is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, IATA, IMDG, or the other agencies listed in the SDS.
