Anti-Ms OCT4 (OCT3), 40, UC, 50µg

The STEMCELL Technologies Anti-Mouse OCT4 (OCT3) Antibody, Clone 40 is a mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody that recognizes OCT4 (OCT3), also known as POU5F1, Oct3, OTF3, or OTF4. This transcription factor is essential for the formation of the inner cell mass during mouse development and for the maintenance of undifferentiated mouse and human embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. It is expressed at high levels in undifferentiated mouse and human ES and iPS cells and in embryonic germ cells (EGCs), with decreased expression during differentiation, and is commonly used as a marker for the assessment of undifferentiated ES and iPS cells and EGCs from multiple species.

The antibody was raised against a recombinant protein comprising amino acids 252–372 of mouse OCT4 (OCT3) and is supplied unconjugated. It is reactive with human and mouse samples (Gene IDs 18999 for mouse and 5460 for human). Verified applications include flow cytometry (FC), immunofluorescence microscopy (IF), and Western blotting (WB), with additional reported use in bioimaging, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and related techniques. The suggested use is ≤ 3 μg/mL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume for FC and ≤ 3 μg/mL for IF, and titration for optimal performance in each application is recommended.

The product is formulated in an aqueous buffer containing ≤ 0.09% sodium azide, glycerol, and bovine serum albumin, and was purified by affinity chromatography. It remains stable at -20°C when stored undiluted.
