Anti-Ms Ly-6G, 1A8, PB, 100µg

This Pacific Blue™-conjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is a rat IgG2a, kappa reagent (Clone 1A8) raised against mouse Ly-6G. Ly-6G is a 21 - 25 kDa GPI-anchored protein that, together with the structurally related Ly-6C protein, comprises the granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1). Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells, with peripheral expression found predominantly on neutrophils, where it serves as a useful marker for these cells.

The 1A8 clone binds specifically to Ly-6G, in contrast to clone RB6-8C5, which binds both Ly-6G and Ly-6C. It has been reported that the 1A8 antibody detects Ly-6G-expressing granulocytes in peripheral blood, whereas the RB6-8C5 antibody also binds to Ly-6C-expressing lymphocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells. The antibody was generated using a Mouse Ly-6G-transfected EL-4J cell line as immunogen and purified by affinity chromatography. It is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, and is free of unconjugated Pacific Blue™.

Flow cytometry is the verified application, and the antibody has been used for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse Neutrophil Enrichment Kit. The suggested use is ≤ 1 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL or per 100 μL of whole blood, with titration recommended for optimal performance. The reagent is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.
