Anti-Ms Ly-6G, 1A8, BT, 50µg

A biotin-conjugated rat monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone 1A8, targeting the mouse Ly-6G antigen. Ly-6G is a 21–25 kDa GPI-anchored protein that, together with the structurally related Ly-6C protein, makes up the granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1). The antibody was raised against a Mouse Ly-6G-transfected EL-4J cell line and is of the IgG2a, kappa isotype. It is supplied as an affinity-purified preparation in phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide, biotin-conjugated under optimal conditions and free of unconjugated biotin.

Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, and subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells, with peripheral expression found predominantly on neutrophils, making it a useful marker for these cells. The 1A8 clone binds specifically to Ly-6G, whereas another commonly used reagent, clone RB6-8C5, also binds Ly-6C; 1A8 detects Ly-6G-expressing granulocytes in peripheral blood. The antibody has been verified for flow cytometry and used in purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse Neutrophil Enrichment Kit. The suggested working amount is ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume, with titration recommended for each application.
