Anti-Ms Ly-6G, 1A8, 500µg

From STEMCELL Technologies, this monoclonal antibody targets mouse Ly-6G (clone 1A8). Ly-6G is a 21–25 kDa GPI-anchored protein that, together with the structurally related Ly-6C protein, comprises the granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1). Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils and subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells, with expression on bone marrow monocytes being transient and strongly correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. In the periphery, Gr-1 is found predominantly on neutrophils and serves as a useful marker for these cells.

The 1A8 clone binds specifically to Ly-6G, whereas the commonly used clone RB6-8C5 binds both Ly-6G and Ly-6C. The 1A8 antibody has been reported to detect Ly-6G-expressing granulocytes in peripheral blood, while RB6-8C5 additionally binds Ly-6C-expressing lymphocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells. The clone has been verified for flow cytometry and for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep kits.

The antibody is reactive with mouse, is of mouse host origin, and is of the IgG isotype. Recommended storage is 2–8°C.
