Anti-Ms Gr-1, RB6-8C5, PS, 25µg

This rat monoclonal IgG2b kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone RB6-8C5, targets the granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1) on mouse cells. It reacts with the structurally related murine Ly-6G (21–25 kDa) and Ly-6C (14–16 kDa) GPI-anchored proteins that together comprise Gr-1, which is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells.

Bone marrow monocytes transiently express Gr-1 during development, with expression strongly correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation, while peripheral Gr-1 expression is found predominantly on neutrophils, making it a useful marker for these cells. Clone RB6-8C5 binds both Ly-6G and Ly-6C, whereas clone 1A8 binds specifically to Ly-6G; RB6-8C5 has been reported to bind Ly-6C-expressing lymphocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells in addition to Ly-6G-expressing granulocytes.

The antibody is suitable for immunoprecipitation, cell isolation, Western blot, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry, and the clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. It is offered in Alexa Fluor 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, PerCP-Cyanine5.5, and unconjugated formats, with demonstrated use in flow cytometry analysis of C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow cells and splenocytes.
