Anti-Ms Gr-1, RB6-8C5, PE, 50µg

Produced by STEMCELL Technologies, this PE-conjugated reagent is a rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody (clone RB6-8C5) raised against normal mouse bone marrow and directed against mouse granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1, also known as Ly-6G/Ly-6C). Clone RB6-8C5 binds the structurally related murine Ly-6G (21–25 kDa) and Ly-6C (14–16 kDa) GPI-anchored proteins that together comprise Gr-1.

Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells, with expression levels strongly correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. In the periphery, Gr-1 is found predominantly on neutrophils and serves as a useful marker for these cells. Whereas clone 1A8 binds specifically to Ly-6G, RB6-8C5 binds both Ly-6G and Ly-6C, and also detects Ly-6C-expressing lymphocytes, monocytes and dendritic cells in addition to Ly-6G-expressing granulocytes.

The antibody has been verified for cell separation (CellSep) and flow cytometry (FC) and is reported for FC. Clone RB6-8C5 is also suitable for immunoprecipitation (IP), cell isolation, and Western blotting (WB). For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume, with titration recommended for optimal performance in each application. The reagent is formulated in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide. It was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with PE under optimal conditions; the solution is free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody. The product remains stable at 2–8 °C when stored undiluted. Do not freeze, and protect the product from prolonged exposure to light.
