Anti-Ms Gr-1, RB6-8C5, BT, 25µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers a biotin-conjugated Anti-Mouse Gr-1 Antibody, Clone RB6-8C5, supplied as a clear liquid laboratory reagent for research use only. This rat IgG2b, kappa monoclonal antibody recognizes the mouse granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1), which is composed of the structurally related GPI-anchored proteins Ly-6G (21–25 kDa) and Ly-6C (14–16 kDa). The RB6-8C5 clone binds both Ly-6G and Ly-6C, distinguishing it from the 1A8 clone which is reported to be specific to Ly-6G only.

Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells. During development, bone marrow monocytes transiently express Gr-1, with expression levels correlating with granulocyte differentiation and maturation; in peripheral tissues, Gr-1 is predominantly found on neutrophils. The antibody is suitable for immunoprecipitation (IP), cell isolation, Western blot (WB), and flow cytometry (FC) applications, and supports workflows such as the immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched mouse neutrophils and stem and progenitor cells. It has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse Neutrophil Enrichment Kit.

According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, this preparation is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) or the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). It is chemically stable under normal conditions, and the SDS reports that no special protective equipment is required under normal use. Handling should follow good industrial hygiene and safety practice, with containers kept tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place.
