Anti-Ms Gr-1, RB6-8C5, AD, 25µg

A rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targeting the mouse granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1). Clone RB6-8C5 reacts with the structurally related murine GPI-anchored proteins Ly-6G and Ly-6C, which together comprise Gr-1. Ly-6G and Ly-6C have reported molecular masses of 21–25 kDa and 14–16 kDa, respectively.

Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells. Monocytes transiently express Gr-1 during bone marrow development, with expression levels strongly correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. In the periphery, Gr-1 is found predominantly on neutrophils. Whereas the commonly used clone 1A8 binds specifically to Ly-6G, RB6-8C5 also recognizes Ly-6C-expressing lymphocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells.

According to the manufacturer, Clone RB6-8C5 is suitable for immunoprecipitation, cell isolation, Western blot, and flow cytometry. Manufacturer flow cytometry data were generated on C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow cells and on C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes gated on granulocytes, and are shown for Alexa Fluor® 488, Biotin, PE, Unconjugated, APC, FITC, and PerCP-Cy5.5 conjugates. The antibody has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep kits, including the EasySep Mouse Neutrophil Enrichment Kit, and is referenced in workflows for immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched mouse neutrophils and of untouched mouse stem and progenitor cells.
