Anti-Ms Gr-1, RB6-8C5, AD, 100µg

A rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone RB6-8C5, targets the mouse granulocyte receptor-1 antigen (Gr-1). The antibody reacts with the structurally related murine Ly-6G (21–25 kDa) and Ly-6C (14–16 kDa) GPI-anchored proteins that together comprise Gr-1.

Gr-1 is expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, subsets of macrophages, plasmacytoid dendritic cells, and T cells. Monocytes in the bone marrow transiently express Gr-1 during development, with expression level strongly correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. In the periphery, Gr-1 is found predominantly on neutrophils and serves as a useful marker for these cells. Unlike the clone 1A8 antibody, which binds specifically to Ly-6G, the RB6-8C5 clone binds to both Ly-6G and Ly-6C. It has been reported that RB6-8C5 detects Ly-6G-expressing granulocytes in peripheral blood, while also binding to Ly-6C-expressing lymphocytes, monocytes and dendritic cells.

The antibody is suitable for immunoprecipitation (IP), cell isolation, Western blot (WB), and flow cytometry (FC). Available conjugations include Alexa Fluor 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, PerCP-Cy5.5, and unconjugated formats. The clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits and supports workflows for immunomagnetic negative isolation of untouched mouse neutrophils and of mouse stem and progenitor cells.
