Anti-Ms F4/80, BM8, PE, 25µg

The Anti-Mouse F4/80 Antibody, Clone BM8, PE from STEMCELL Technologies is a rat monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody conjugated with phycoerythrin (PE) and directed against the mouse F4/80 antigen, also termed Ly-71. F4/80 is an approximately 160 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the EGF-TM7 family of G-protein-coupled receptors, and is considered a marker of choice for identifying mature tissue macrophages.

The antibody has been verified for use in cell separation and flow cytometry, and has been validated for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. F4/80 expression has been reported on Kupffer cells in the liver, Langerhans cells in the skin, bone marrow stroma, pancreas, thymus, spleen (red pulp), and lung, as well as on circulating monocytes, eosinophils, and a subset of dendritic cells.

Purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with PE under optimal conditions, the reagent is supplied in phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide. It is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8 °C; the product should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 1 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL, and titration is recommended for optimal performance.
