Anti-Ms F4/80, BM8, FI, 500µg

F4/80 is considered a marker of choice for identifying mature tissue macrophages, and this antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets that antigen. Clone BM8 recognizes an approximately 160 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the EGF-TM7 family of G-protein-coupled receptors. The antigen is broadly but variably expressed by macrophage populations in the liver (Kupffer cells), skin (Langerhans cells), bone marrow stroma, pancreas, thymus, spleen (red pulp), and lung, and is also expressed by circulating monocytes, eosinophils, and a subset of dendritic cells. Expression levels rise following activation of macrophages.

The rat IgG2a, kappa antibody is suitable for cell isolation and flow cytometry and has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. Documented flow cytometry data have been generated on C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow cells, and the FITC-conjugated format is one of several available conjugations. The reagent is supplied as a clear liquid and is not classified as hazardous under GHS or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
