Anti-Ms F4/80, BM8, BT, 500µg

Biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone BM8, is intended for flow cytometry and recognises the F4/80 antigen — an ~160 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the EGF-TM7 family of G-protein-coupled receptors (also termed Ly-71 in mouse and EMR-1 in human). F4/80 is widely regarded as a marker of choice for identifying mature tissue macrophages, with expression reported in liver Kupffer cells, skin Langerhans cells, bone marrow stroma, pancreas, thymus, spleen red pulp, lung, and other tissues; it is additionally expressed by circulating monocytes, eosinophils, and a subset of dendritic cells, with expression levels rising following macrophage activation. Reported reactive species include human and mouse.

The rat IgG2a, kappa antibody is described as suitable for cell isolation and flow cytometry, and has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. Documented applications include cell isolation, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot.
