Anti-Ms F4/80, BM8, AZ, 25µg

From STEMCELL Technologies, the Anti-Mouse F4/80 Antibody, Clone BM8 is a rat monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody directed against the F4/80 antigen. The F4/80 antigen is described as a marker of choice for identifying mature tissue macrophages and is broadly but variably expressed by Kupffer cells in the liver, Langerhans cells in the skin, bone marrow stroma, the pancreas, thymus, spleen red pulp, lung, and additional tissues. It is also carried by circulating monocytes, eosinophils, and a subset of dendritic cells, with expression levels increasing following macrophage activation.

Recommended as a laboratory reagent, the antibody is suitable for cell isolation and flow cytometry, and the BM8 clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. Conjugations offered include Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, PerCP-Cy5.5, and unconjugated, with validated flow cytometry data on C57BL/6 mouse bone marrow cells in combination with anti-mouse CD45 or CD45R antibodies. Documented applications also extend to ELISA, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot, with reactivity reported against human, mouse, and rhesus samples.
