Anti-Ms EPCR, RMEPCR1560, PE, 100µg

A rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody raised against the soluble form of mouse EPCR protein and conjugated to PE, supplied by STEMCELL Technologies. Clone RMEPCR1560, also designated 1560, recognises the endothelial protein C receptor (EPCR), also known as CD201, an approximately 25 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by endothelial cells, subsets of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), dendritic cells, and several malignant cell lines. EPCR is also found in a soluble form in plasma and shows homology with the MHC class 1/CD1 protein family. It binds protein C and activated protein C, augmenting protein C activation by the thrombin-thrombomodulin complex and contributing to the regulation of blood coagulation and inflammation. EPCR protein expression has been detected on approximately 1.5% of mouse bone marrow cells, and purified EPCR+ populations are highly enriched for HSC activity, supporting the use of EPCR as a single marker for the identification of mouse HSCs.

The reagent is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline containing less than 0.1% (w/v) sodium azide and less than 0.1% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and was purified by affinity chromatography prior to conjugation. Verified applications are cell separation (CellSep) and flow cytometry (FC), with flow cytometry additionally reported in published studies. For flow cytometry, a suggested use of 0.1 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL is provided, and titration is recommended for optimal performance in each application. The product is stable at 2 - 8 °C when stored undiluted, should not be frozen, and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.
