Anti-Ms CD90.2, 53-2.1, PE, 200µg

Clone 53-2.1 is a rat monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies that recognizes mouse CD90.2 (Thy-1.2), an approximately 25–35 kDa glycophosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein (Gene ID: 21838). The antibody is of the IgG2a, kappa isotype and is conjugated to PE.

CD90.2 is expressed at high levels on thymocytes, most peripheral T cells, and lymphatic endothelial cells, and at lower levels on hematopoietic stem cells, some intraepithelial T lymphocytes, fibroblasts, and neurons. It is an allelic form of CD90 found in mouse strains including BALB/c, C3H/He, C57BL/6, C58, CBA/J, DBA, NZB, and SJL. The antibody does not react with CD90.1, which is expressed by strains such as AKR/J, PL, and FVB/N, nor with rat CD90.

CD90.2 has been implicated in costimulation of lymphocyte proliferation, hematopoietic stem cell differentiation, and thymocyte adhesion. The 53-2.1 antibody has been reported to block the binding of clone 30-H12. Applications include flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, functional assays, electron microscopy, and cell depletion, supporting immunology research.
