Anti-Ms CD8a, 53-6.7, PS, 25µg

This Anti-Mouse CD8a Antibody, Clone 53-6.7, conjugated to PerCP-Cy5.5, is a rat monoclonal reagent supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as a clear liquid intended for laboratory research use only. It is manufactured under an ISO 13485-certified quality management system and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under GHS or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.

The antibody targets mouse CD8a, a 32 - 34 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that forms the α chain of the CD8 disulfide-bonded heterodimer (αβ) or homodimer (αα). CD8 acts as a co-receptor to the T cell receptor during T cell activation by binding MHC Class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells, amplifying intracellular signalling through kinases such as Lck. The 53-6.7 clone is verified for cell isolation and flow cytometry, and reportedly blocks antigen presentation via MHC class I while inhibiting IL-2-dependent T cell responses. The isotype is rat IgG2a, kappa, and the reagent has been validated for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits such as the EasySep™ Mouse CD8+ T Cell Enrichment Kit and the EasySep™ Mouse CD8+ T Cell Isolation Kit.
