Anti-Ms CD62L, MEL-14, BT, 500µg

This antibody, supplied by STEMCELL Technologies, is reactive with murine CD62L, also known as L-Selectin or LECAM-1, an approximately 74 – 95 kDa type I glycoprotein expressed on the surface of most leukocytes. The reagent is clone MEL-14, a rat IgG2a, kappa antibody that targets mouse CD62L.

CD62L mediates leukocyte–endothelial cell interactions through association with ligands including CD34, glyCAM-1, MAdCAM-1 and PSGL-1, and contributes to lymphocyte rolling on vascular endothelium, lymphocyte trafficking to lymph nodes, and homing of lymphocytes and neutrophils to sites of inflammation. The antibody has been verified for purity assessment of neutrophils and monocytes, and is used to distinguish naïve, memory and effector T cells when combined with other cell-surface markers. It has also been shown to block migration of lymphocytes to lymph nodes and to inhibit leukocyte rolling.

Reported applications include flow cytometry on C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes, with unconjugated and biotin- or fluorochrome-conjugated formats demonstrated, as well as CyTOF, functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation. The reagent supports immunomagnetic isolation workflows for untouched mouse naïve CD4+ T cells, pan-naïve T cells, and naïve CD8+ T cells from mouse splenocytes or other tissue samples.
