Anti-Ms CD62L, MEL-14, AZ, 100µg

A primary antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, this reagent targets murine CD62L (L-selectin) through the MEL-14 clone. CD62L is described as an approximately 74 - 95 kDa type I glycoprotein expressed on the surface of a majority of leukocytes, where it mediates leukocyte-endothelial cell interactions through association with ligands including CD34, glyCAM-1, MAdCAM-1, and PSGL-1. The antibody is raised in rat and is of the IgG2a, kappa isotype.

The reagent is reported to facilitate lymphocyte rolling on the vascular endothelium, trafficking of lymphocytes to the lymph nodes, and homing of lymphocytes and neutrophils to sites of inflammation. Murine CD62L is expressed on most thymocytes, with the highest expression levels found on subsets of immunocompetent or dividing progenitor cells, as well as on neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes, and subsets of B, T, and NK cells. The antibody may be used in concert with antibodies to other cell surface markers to distinguish naïve, memory, and effector T cells, and has been shown to block migration of lymphocytes to lymph nodes and to inhibit leukocyte rolling.

Available conjugate options include Alexa Fluor 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, PerCP-Cyanine5.5, and unconjugated. The antibody is validated for CyTOF, flow cytometry, functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation, supporting immunology research.
