Anti-Ms CD45R, RA3-6B2, BT, 100µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers a biotin-conjugated rat monoclonal antibody, clone RA3-6B2, of isotype IgG2a, kappa, raised against the exon A-restricted isoform of mouse CD45 (also known as CD45R or B220). The antibody reacts with human, mouse, and cat CD45R (B220), and was generated using Abelson murine leukemia virus-induced pre-B tumor cells as the immunogen.

CD45 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family and functions in immunoregulatory processes including cell activation, growth, differentiation, and oncogenic transformation. The large cytoplasmic portion contains two tyrosine phosphatase domains that modulate Src kinases such as Lck and Fyn. Alternative splicing of exons encoding the RA, RB, and RC extracellular sequences gives rise to up to 8 isoforms with molecular masses in the range of 200 to 220 kDa. The exon A-restricted isoform, termed CD45R, contains the RA, RB, and RC regions and is the largest isoform. It is expressed by the B cell lineage from early pro-B to mature B cells, with expression downregulated during differentiation to plasma cells, and is also found on subsets of T, NK, dendritic, and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells.

The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with biotin, and is supplied in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide. It is stable at 2 to 8°C when stored undiluted and should not be frozen. Verified applications include flow cytometry (FC), with reported use in immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.06 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance.
