Anti-Ms CD45, 30-F11, UC, 50µg

Clone 30-F11 is a monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies that reacts with alloantigens CD45.1 and CD45.2 of mouse CD45. CD45 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of most hematopoietic cells. The antibody is supplied as a clear liquid for use as a laboratory reagent.

The clone binds an extracellular epitope shared by all isoforms of mouse CD45, a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family. CD45 functions in immunoregulatory processes including cell activation, growth, differentiation and oncogenic transformation. Its large cytoplasmic region contains two tyrosine phosphatase domains, one enzymatically active, which modulate intracellular substrates such as the Src kinases Lck and Fyn. Alternative splicing of three exons (4, 5 and 6) encoding the extracellular RA, RB and RC polypeptide sequences gives rise to up to eight isoforms with molecular masses in the range of 180 - 240 kDa. The antibody is of rat origin and is of the IgG2b, kappa isotype.

The manufacturer's safety data sheet states that the preparation is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard or the Globally Harmonized System, is chemically stable under normal conditions, and is recommended for use as a laboratory reagent. The product is part of a family available in unconjugated form and in several fluorochrome and biotin conjugates (Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, PerCP-Cy5.5). Supporting flow cytometry data generated on C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes is provided, with matched rat IgG2b, kappa isotype controls.
