Description

STEMCELL Technologies offers this FITC-conjugated Anti-Mouse CD45 Antibody, Clone 30-F11, a rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody intended for laboratory research use. Clone 30-F11 reacts with an extracellular epitope found on all isoforms and both alloantigens (CD45.1 and CD45.2) of mouse CD45, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of most hematopoietic cells except mature erythrocytes, platelets and plasma cells. CD45 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family and functions in cell activation, growth, differentiation and oncogenic transformation. The large cytoplasmic portion contains two tyrosine phosphatase domains, one enzymatically active, that modulate intracellular substrates such as the Src kinases Lck and Fyn. Several isoforms arise from alternative splicing of three exons (4, 5, 6) encoding the extracellular RA, RB and RC polypeptide sequences, yielding up to 8 isoforms with molecular masses in the range of 180 - 240 kDa.

The reagent is supplied as a clear liquid. According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, it is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), is stable under normal conditions, and should be stored in accordance with the information listed on the Product Information Sheet (PIS). The FITC conjugate has been validated by flow cytometry analysis of C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes, with staining compared against a Rat IgG2b, kappa Isotype Control Antibody, Clone RTK4530. The associated mouse gene is identified as 19264.
